A custom RFID keyfob is a compact contactless credential designed to stay on a key ring, cord or bag. Compared with a standard card, it is easier to carry and less likely to be forgotten. CedaGlo supplies molded ABS key tags for cost-effective access projects, epoxy keychains for vivid full-color branding, leather key fobs for premium presentation, and wooden NFC/RFID keychains for natural-material campaigns and hospitality applications.
Each order can be matched to the customer’s reader platform and use case. Chip selection determines frequency, protocol, available memory, read/write behavior, mobile-phone compatibility and security level. Printing and encoding can be completed before shipment to reduce on-site preparation.

How do I choose the correct RFID keyfob chip for my access-control system?
Start with the reader frequency, protocol and existing credential. Send the reader model or a sample card/keyfob to CedaGlo. We will recommend a compatible chip, but the system owner or integrator should complete final testing before deployment.
Are all 13.56 MHz RFID keyfobs compatible with NFC smartphones?
No. NFC phone compatibility depends on the chip, phone hardware, operating system and application. NTAG21x chips are commonly selected for URL and smartphone interactions, while access-control chips may require dedicated readers and software.
Can CedaGlo print the UID, serial number, QR code and program the chip?
Yes. Variable printing and chip encoding can be supplied when supported by the selected chip. Please provide the data format, numbering rule, encoding map and sample output for approval.
Which material is best for outdoor or daily use?
ABS is generally the most economical durable option. Epoxy protects full-color graphics and is well suited to branded keychains. Leather provides a premium look, while wood gives a natural appearance but should be evaluated for prolonged moisture exposure.
Can RFID keyfobs be waterproof?
Sealed ABS and epoxy models can provide strong water resistance, and certain designs may meet a defined IP rating. The exact rating must be confirmed for the selected model rather than applied to every material style.
Can the same design include two chips or two frequencies?
Dual-frequency constructions may be possible for selected shapes and project quantities. Reader compatibility, antenna separation, housing size and cost must be evaluated before confirmation.
What files are required for custom printing?
Vector artwork in AI, EPS or PDF is preferred. High-resolution PNG may be accepted for full-color epoxy printing. Include Pantone references, print position, variable-data file and any barcode or QR-code rules.
Can I order samples before bulk production?
Yes. Blank chip samples, printed samples or encoded samples can be arranged. Compatibility testing with the buyer’s reader is strongly recommended before mass production.
