What Makes Silicone Pet Tags Different
CedaGlo custom silicone pet ID tags give pet brands, retailers and collar makers a complete private label range of silicone dog tags and cat tags. The silicone body is soft and flexible, so the tag is quieter than metal tags that clink against each other, and it can be molded in any Pantone color to match an existing collar or accessory line.
Each order is built around how you sell. Order finished tags with a different pet name, phone number, QR code or serial number on every piece, branded tags with a blank area for later personalization, or plain stock for your own processing. NFC versions use the NXP NTAG213 chip, encoded with your URL and locked after verification.
For QR and NFC programs built around online pet profiles, see our custom NFC and QR code pet ID tags in metal, epoxy and other materials.
Hanging vs. Slide-On Silicone Pet Tags
Hanging Silicone Pet Tags
A metal split ring attaches the tag to the collar D-ring. Depending on the design, a silicone surround holds a printed PVC insert, or a silicone cover carries a molded brand design on one face and an information area on the other.
Use the front for your brand, a pet name or artwork, and the back for contact details, a QR code or a serial number. Choose from round, bone, flower, square and other existing shapes.
Slide-On Silicone Collar Tags
The collar threads through openings on both sides, so the tag sits flat against the strap with nothing dangling. Options include a silicone body with an embedded NFC chip and outward-facing branding, or a silicone holder with a printed PVC insert.
The standard 64 × 35 mm slide-on tag fits flat collars up to 25 mm (1 in) wide. Send your collar width, thickness and buckle type so we can confirm the fit.
| Feature | Hanging style | Slide-on style |
|---|---|---|
| Attachment | Metal split ring on the collar D-ring | Collar threaded through side openings |
| Display area | Front and back, depending on construction | Mainly the outward-facing surface |
| Branding | Silicone cover or printed insert | Silicone body or printed insert |
| Individual information | Pet names, contact details, QR codes, serial numbers and NFC | |
| Movement on the collar | Hangs freely; silicone softens contact with other tags | Low-profile; stays flat with no swinging |
| Fit details we need | Preferred tag size and ring size | Collar width, thickness and buckle type |

Logo, Color & Artwork Options
Match the decoration method to your artwork and to the part of the tag being customized. Small text and fine details are reviewed at actual size; we may suggest simplifying a molded logo or moving detailed artwork onto the PVC insert to keep it sharp.
| Artwork requirement | Recommended method |
|---|---|
| Simple logo or text on silicone | Screen printing (one to three colors) or a molded design, depending on the model |
| Recessed logo in contrasting colors | Debossed design with single-color or multicolor fill |
| Tactile brand detail | Raised silicone design in selected colors |
| Illustrations, gradients or photos | Offset or digital printing on a PVC insert; heat-transfer or UV printing on the silicone |
| Serial numbers, QR codes and barcodes | Laser marking, UV laser marking or printing, selected for the material |
| Different information on each tag | Variable-data personalization with the confirmed production method |
Existing designs keep their established dimensions and decoration areas. Changes to the shape, size or molded features may require new or modified tooling.

Batch Personalization, QR Codes & NFC
Choose the personalization route that fits your sales process.
Finished Tags with Pet Details
Send a spreadsheet with each pet name, phone number, QR code or serial number, plus the style and color for every record. We produce the personalized batch and return a mapping file. Suited to sellers who collect customer orders before placing a combined production order.
Branded Tags with a Reserved Area
Order tags with your fixed branding and a blank information area when final pet details are not yet known. For your own post-processing, confirm the insert material and process before ordering; sample testing is required for each machine and material.
Blank Tags
Undecorated stock for projects that need plain tags. Tell us whether they will be sold as supplied or processed further, so the construction and material can be reviewed.
How QR and NFC Tags Are Delivered
Provide your destination URLs and data format with the quote request. We encode each NFC chip, print or mark the matching QR code and serial number, verify every tag against the production data, and then apply your approved lock settings. The mapping file links each chip UID, URL and visible serial number, so delivered tags connect directly to your system.
Online pet profiles, owner registration and scan notifications run on the software platform you choose.

Order Quantities & Lead Times

| Order type | Quantity | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| Volume order | From 500 pcs | About 2 weeks, including per-tag personalization |
| Custom sample | 1 piece, from US$50 per order | About 1 week |
| Small order | From 2 pieces | Confirmed in the quote |
| Mixed colors in one style | Any quantity per color; priced by total quantity | About 2 weeks |

| Reorder, same style and color | From 1 piece | About 1–2 weeks |
| New tooling | Per project | Adds about 1 week to the first order |
Per-tag personalization is available at any quantity; larger runs of the same style and color earn lower unit prices. Repeat orders follow the approved specification; slight silicone color variation between batches is possible.
Tooling, Samples & Retail Packaging
Existing Designs or Your Own Shape
Existing designs avoid mold costs and suit a first product test; colors and compatible artwork can still be customized. For a new shape, send your drawing and dimensions. Custom tooling is typically about US$1,000, depending on complexity, and is reserved exclusively for your project.
Samples Before You Commit
Free stock samples may be available depending on inventory; contact our sales team for details. Custom samples start from US$50 per order, covering design, plate-making and materials, plus shipping, and take about one week. Before production, you approve a proof covering design, colors, dimensions, artwork, individual data, accessories and packaging.
Packaging for Online and In-Store Sales
Choose individual bags with a custom sticker, branded backing cards, hang cards or boxes, labeled with your own product codes or barcodes. Custom packaging usually starts at 1,000 units, takes about 1–2 weeks alongside tag production, and is quoted separately.

Quality Checks Before Delivery
Appearance Inspection
Each batch is checked for surface finish, color, artwork position, insert assembly and attachment hardware.
QR and NFC Reading Tests
QR codes are scanned and NFC chips are read on the applicable tags before packing.
Data Verification
Every tag's QR code, serial number, URL and NFC record are checked against the production data before the chip is locked.
Nonconforming items found during production are removed and replaced, so the order ships complete.
Why Pet Brands Choose CedaGlo
Tag, Chip and Data in One Order
Silicone molding, printing, NFC encoding, QR marking and data mapping all happen under one roof, so you manage a single supplier and a single production schedule instead of coordinating separate vendors.
Start Small, Scale Up Fast
Order a single tag to test a design, then scale to 500-piece and larger runs at factory volume pricing. Dedicated tooling stays reserved for your brand and is never shared with other customers.
Approve Before We Produce
You see a physical color sample and a production proof covering artwork, dimensions, individual data, accessories and packaging. Production starts only after you approve the proof, so the delivered batch matches what you signed off.
Every Tag Checked
Each QR code is scanned, each NFC chip is read, and every record is matched to your data before the chip is locked. The mapping file you receive reflects the tags in the box, ready to import into your platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity for custom silicone pet ID tags?
CedaGlo custom silicone pet ID tags can be ordered from 1 piece: a single custom sample starts from US$50, covering design, plate-making and materials. Pricing is tiered: the unit price drops as quantity rises, with volume pricing from 500 pieces and the lowest rates at 5,000 pieces or more. Mixed colors and reorders follow the same tiers.
How much do custom silicone pet ID tags cost?
Unit prices range from US$0.50 to US$10.00 per tag, including an NXP NTAG213 NFC chip: US$5.00 to 10.00 for 2 to 99 pieces, US$3.00 to 5.00 for 100 to 499 pieces, US$2.00 to 3.00 for 500 to 999 pieces, US$1.00 to 2.00 for 1,000 to 4,999 pieces, and US$0.50 to 1.00 for 5,000 pieces or more. The final price depends on style, decoration, personalization and packaging.
Can each silicone pet tag have a different name, phone number or QR code?
Yes. Send a spreadsheet with the pet name, phone number, QR code URL or serial number for each tag, along with its style and color. CedaGlo personalizes every tag in the batch and returns a mapping file that links each chip UID, URL and serial number.
What is the difference between hanging and slide-on silicone pet tags?
Hanging tags attach to the collar D-ring with a metal split ring and can carry information on both sides. Slide-on tags thread onto the collar through two side openings and sit flat with no swinging; the standard 64 x 35 mm slide-on tag fits flat collars up to 25 mm (1 in) wide.
How long does it take to produce custom silicone pet tags?
Orders on existing designs, including per-tag personalization, take about two weeks. Reorders take about one to two weeks, custom samples about one week, and new tooling adds about one week to the first order.
Do I need a new mold to put my logo on silicone pet tags?
Not for printed, laser-marked or heat-transfer logos placed in the decoration area of an existing design. A new mold is needed for a custom shape, a new size or a debossed or raised logo; tooling typically costs about US$1,000 and is reserved exclusively for your project.
Can you match my brand's Pantone colors on silicone pet tags?
Yes. Silicone pet tags can be produced in any Pantone reference. CedaGlo makes a physical color sample for your approval before production, and repeat orders follow the approved reference, with only slight variation possible between batches.
Which NFC chip do silicone pet ID tags use, and which phones can read them?
The standard chip is the NXP NTAG213, with NTAG215 or NTAG216 available on request. It operates at 13.56 MHz under ISO/IEC 14443-A and NFC Forum Type 2, stores 144 bytes for an NDEF URL, and is read by NFC-enabled iPhone and Android phones at a typical range of 1 to 3 cm.
How does CedaGlo control quality on Custom Silicone Pet ID Tags orders?
We are certified to ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, so encoding data and keys are handled under a certified security system. Every order is checked from incoming chips and materials through production to final inspection, and its acceptance record travels with it through each production station before shipment.
