A CedaGlo smart pet identification tag can carry a visible QR code, an embedded NFC chip, or both interfaces in one design. When linked to a customer-operated or third-party pet-profile platform, the tag helps a finder access owner-approved contact details and pet information through a smartphone. The tag itself is a passive identifier — not a GPS tracker — and any scan notification or location-sharing function depends on the connected platform, browser permissions and the finder's action.
The product family is designed for OEM and project customization rather than one fixed shape. Common constructions include engraved metal pendants, silicone-covered tags, epoxy-coated tokens, double-sided collar tags and newly tooled housings for brand-specific retail programs.

Do NFC pet ID tags work with all smartphones, and is a dedicated app required?
QR codes provide the broadest camera-based compatibility across smartphones. NFC performance depends on whether the phone supports NFC, the antenna location, tag orientation and the tag's construction. A combined QR + NFC design provides two independent access methods. No dedicated app is required for standard QR or NFC URL access — the linked profile opens directly in the device's mobile browser.
