Overview
The C61 is a rugged handheld for people who key in as much data as they scan. A 4-inch 800*480 display sits above a physical keypad ordered as 27, 37, or 47 keys, the octa-core processor runs at 2.0 GHz, and memory is offered as 3 GB + 32 GB, 4 GB + 64 GB, or 6 GB + 64 GB. The multi-touch panel takes gloves and wet hands, so the display stays usable for the steps where the keypad is not the faster route.
Power is the second reason a unit finishes the shift. The 6700 mAh main battery lifts out at the latch, a 100 mAh backup battery inside the body supports battery hot swap so the session survives the change, and QC3.0 brings a dead battery back in 3.5 hours with the standard adaptor and USB cable. A Closer Look at the Hardware
Back panelThe main battery releases at the sliding latch in the middle of the back. Above it sit the Pin Connector that the UHF back clip mates to, the rear camera with its flash, and the marked NFC area.
Side keysA yellow SCAN key sits on each side, so left- and right-handed users reach the same control without changing grip. Two volume keys and one user-defined key share the same edges.
Top and bottomThe scan window and the camera face out of the top edge, clear of the grip. The gold extended thimble contacts run across the bottom edge, so a unit takes power from the cradle without a cable being plugged in.
