A Sealed 9dBi Panel for Fixed UHF RFID Read Points
9dBi of RHCP gain, a 60° by 55° 3dB beam-width, and 20W of input headroom.
The Ant-RC09-255/255 puts 9dBi of right-hand circularly polarized gain behind a panel 30 mm deep. One N-Type Female port at 50Ω accepts up to 20W, so it lands on readers already in service. Beam-width measures 60° in the H-Plane and 55° in the E-Plane at the 3dB points, and the front to back ratio holds the pattern forward at ≥17dB. An aluminum radiant board sits under an off-white ABS radome sealed to IP67. It mounts on a φ30-φ50(mm) pole or flat against a wall.

Overview
The Ant-RC09-255/255 is a circularly polarized panel antenna for fixed UHF RFID installations. It carries 9dBi of gain behind a sealed off-white ABS radome measuring 255*255*30(mm), and presents a single N-Type Female port at 50Ω for the coaxial run back to the reader.
The pattern is the reason to specify it. At the 3dB points the beam measures 60° across the H-Plane and 55° across the E-Plane, and the front to back ratio stays at ≥17dB, which keeps radiated energy off the area behind the panel. Input headroom runs to 20W and the feed is DC Grounded.
The radiating element is an aluminum board, the radome is ABS in off-white, and the assembly weighs 1.27kg with its mounting bracket. Sealing is IP67, the operating temperature is -40ºC/+60ºC, and the rated wind velocity is 60m/s. It goes on a φ30-φ50(mm) pole or flat on a wall. Explore the full range of UHF RFID antennas.

A Closer Look at the Hardware

One-piece ABS radomeThe radiating face is a single molded cover in off-white, unbroken by fasteners. The whole panel measures 255*255*30(mm).

Aluminum plate and pole bracketThe back is a screwed-down aluminum plate. The bracket carries two U-bolts that close around a φ30-φ50(mm) support pole.

N-Type Female port on the backThe connector sits at the edge of the plate, clear of the bracket, so the coaxial jumper leaves the antenna behind the radome rather than across it.

Why Buy the Ant-RC09-255/255 From CedaGlo
Numbers you can check
Every figure on this page is transcribed from the configuration sheet, not from a brochure. Gain, beam-width, VSWR and front to back ratio all read out on a vector network analyzer before you accept the shipment.
Written on the order
Band, quantity, packaging and lead time go onto the order in writing and come back to you confirmed. We do not quote a delivery date over the phone, and we do not treat a sample price as a standing one.
Test one on your own site
Ask for a sample and hang it over the aisle you actually need to cover. Tag orientation, pole height and the metal nearby move the result far more than any figure a datasheet can print for you.
Supported past the install
Spare brackets and U-bolts are ordered against the same model number as the antenna, and return terms are set out in writing with your order, not over a phone call. Tell us where it goes and we keep the record.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much gain and how wide a beam does the Ant-RC09-255/255 give?
The antenna is rated at 9dBi with right-hand circular polarization. Measured at the 3dB points, the beam-width is 60 degrees in the H-Plane and 55 degrees in the E-Plane, and the front to back ratio is at least 17dB. Those beam-width figures are quoted at the 3dB points, not at the nulls, so the usable read zone on site will look narrower once tag orientation and nearby metal are taken into account.
Will it work with the reader I already have?
The port is N-Type Female at an input impedance of 50 ohms, which is the standard interface on fixed UHF RFID readers. Maximum input power is 20W, so check that your reader port stays below that figure. The frequency range covers 902-928MHz and 865-868MHz, so confirm the band your reader is licensed to transmit on before you order.
What is the antenna built from?
The radiating element is an aluminum board. It sits behind a radome molded in ABS and finished in off-white. The connector is N-Type Female and the feed is DC Grounded for lightning protection. With its mounting bracket the assembly weighs 1.27kg and measures 255 by 255 by 30 mm.
How long will it stay in service?
Service life depends on the site, so we do not publish a number we cannot stand behind. What the configuration sheet does state is the design envelope: IP67 sealing, an operating temperature of minus 40 to plus 60 degrees Celsius, and a rated wind velocity of 60m/s. Warranty length and spare parts availability are confirmed in writing on your order.
How does it hold up outdoors?
The configuration sheet gives IP67 sealing, an operating temperature of minus 40 to plus 60 degrees Celsius, and a rated wind velocity of 60m/s. Those are design ratings taken from the sheet, not certified test results. If your project needs a test report against any of them, ask for it in writing with your inquiry and we will confirm what is available.
How is it mounted, and what happens if one fails?
It clamps to a support pole between 30 and 50 mm in diameter using the bracket and its two U-bolts, or it fixes flat against a wall. Returns, replacement units and spare brackets are handled under the terms confirmed in writing on your order, so ask for those terms before you place it.
