The MC51 runs a Qualcomm octa-core 2.4GHz platform with Wi-Fi 6E and 5G, so scanning, lookups and voice all run on one device through a full shift. Two configurations share that platform: the MC51 handles barcode-driven picking, receiving and store work, while the MC51 UHF adds an integrated RFID reader for stock counts and asset checks. Data capture uses Zebra scan engines, the SE4710, SE55 or CM60, chosen when the order is placed, and the touch panel is Corning Gorilla Glass. It ships on Android 14 with a CedaGlo SDK for Java and Android Studio, and the battery hot-swaps so the device does not leave the floor to charge.

The MC51 is a rugged 6-inch handheld for teams that scan, look things up and talk to colleagues on the same device all day. A Qualcomm octa-core 2.4GHz processor with UFS storage in 4GB + 64GB or 8GB + 256GB keeps warehouse and retail applications responsive, and the 1440 x 720 display stays usable with gloves on or wet hands.
What separates it from a phone in a rugged case is that both the data capture and the battery are choices you can service. The scan engine is an order-time decision between three Zebra engines, the UHF configuration puts an RFID reader in the same body, and the 5000mAh main battery comes out in seconds with a hot-swap backup holding the session.

Accessory compatibility — both configurations take the pistol grip, and the MC51 also pairs with the snap-on UHF reader and grip when RFID is only needed on some shifts. Battery and NFC on the back. The 5000mAh main battery is removable, and the NFC antenna area sits above it, reading at 13.56 MHz over a 2-4 cm range.

A scan key on each side. The keypad is a power key, 2 scan keys, volume (+/-) keys and 1 multifunctional key, so left- and right-handed users both reach a trigger.

How far can the MC51 scan a barcode?
The configuration sheet lists three Zebra 2D engines for the MC51, the SE4710, the SE55 and the CM60, and scanning itself is an optional function chosen at order time. Read range depends on the engine, the symbol size and the print quality, so we quote it from the engine maker's own datasheet for your label rather than publishing one number here. Tell us the smallest code you read and the distance you need, and we will name the engine that fits.
Which of the two configurations should I order?
Order the MC51 if the work is barcode-driven: picking, receiving, price checks and dispatch. Order the MC51 UHF if you also need to read RFID tags, for example cycle counts or asset audits. Both share the same display, battery, keypad, platform and sealing, so the decision comes down to RFID alone. If RFID is needed on some shifts but not all, the snap-on UHF reader with the pistol grip is the alternative to a built-in reader.
