What Is an Access Control & Campus Card?

An access control & campus card is a logic-encryption contact IC card used to store credentials and ID data for building access, offices and campus systems. Built on the Infineon SLE4428 and China-made FM4428 chip, it offers 1 KB of EEPROM with password protection — larger than an SLE4442, so it can hold more access rights, ID fields and usage records.

It is a closed-loop card: it works within your own access and campus system, so no EMVCo or banking certification is required.
